Reincarnated In A Shitty Love Game

Chapter 77

With their short legs, they literally ran to catch up with him.

Yubiri paused in front of his door with a serious look on his face. “Both of you. I believe you are old enough to understand the consequences of your actions,”

“What actions do you mean?” Ethan said with a really serious look.

Yubiri just turned back and peered into his eyes. “Taking Feng’s side.”

Without a word, they both stared at each other.

The servant Felix, who opened the door for them, stood awkwardly with a small smile. “Ahhh it’s the young masters. Why don’t you all come in? I have baked some cookies for you all,”

.....

Felix tried to sooth the dull atmosphere with sweets and tea.

Yubiri silently sat opposite them as watched as the boys gnawed on the hard tack cookies.

“When you both asked me to teach you, were you serious?”

“Yes~” Aiden said with a sweet smile.

“Then show your seriousness by training. At this age, if you train by yourself, you might go into deviation or hurt yourself badly. That’s why you would need a good mentor to guide you into the core path.” Yubiri said, sipping his tea.

“But master was not willing to teach us anything.” Ethan whispered after eating the cookie in his mouth.

Yubiri paused in fact, he had been too busy these days creating new magical formulas and researching spells to teach them. He had given the reigns to Felix, but these little devils easily fooled his na?ve servant.

“I will make sure to arrange time to train you both...” he said with a guilty smile.

“No, master, if you are going to do it half-assed, I don’t want to train under you,” Ethan stood up, patted his back and walked away.

Aiden just glanced at him with a pout. “I think he might still be angry,”

“Why did you guys get angry in the first place? It’s not like I have intentions to harm Feng,” Yubiri said with a frown.

“Because you are bound to get interested in that girl, Clarina. It’s your fate after all and I’m not sure if you will be able to change it,”

Suddenly, the whole room went silent.

Yubiri glanced at him intently. “What do you know?”

“What do YOU know?” Aiden challengingly glanced at him.

“If I tell you what I know, would you be willing to share?” Yubiri said in all seriousness.

“Yes, that’s a fair enough deal,”

“Let’s reveal our secrets after each other,” Yubiri silently took a deep breath. “I know that both of you are not young boys.”

Aiden raised a brow. “I figured so. You are a great mage, after all. Is that why you were vary of us getting close to Feng,”

“Yes, and other reasons included,”

“That might be?”

Yubiri bit his lips.... “I don’t want her to fall in love with you both,”

“But she already loves us,” Aiden confidently said.

Yubiri’s eyes suddenly went dark. “Yes as brothers,”

“No, she does not see us as brothers. To her, we are just Ethan and Aiden. She even promised to marry one of us.”

“What!!!!” Yubiri shot up, spilling the tea everywhere on his lap. “S-she definitely would not have said that. Even if she did, she must have thought it was just words to appease a child. ”

“She did. I swear on my honour as a man,” Aiden said, crunching into another cookie. “The question here is what will you do when your dear Feng falls for us. Will you bless her well or will you side with those trashy people and try to get her back?”

This question stunned everyone in the room.

Felix silently moved out, felling the heat of the conversation.

Yubiri still stood there, glancing at him intently. “I-I will... I...” he sat down and fidgeted with his sleeve... “I don’t know. Honestly.”

“Then there’s your answer. We don’t trust you yet because you are still selfish. You selfishly want Feng to yourself not caring about her feelings,”

“What about you then?” Yubiri suddenly glared at him.

Aiden sat back and crossed his leg. “I will give her up if she falls for someone else. Even of it with my brother, I will not get in their way,”

“H-how can you say that? Don’t you love her?” he looked at him in disbelief.

Isn’t it common to feel attached to the one you love? Won’t you vie for her attentions? ‘Are my mother’s teachings all faulty?’

Aiden smirked widely. “That’s how we differ, Yubiri. We love her but you.... you are obsessed with her. After a while, that obsession will definitely hurt her. Its better you curb it in the nub,”

Yubiri suddenly chuckled humorlessly. He hid his face and laughed crazily. “It’s too late.... it’s too late for that... I am already in deep...”

Aiden did not further agitate him. He silently ate the cookies. “Master.... what do you think of this world?”

Yubiri just glanced at him without any expression. “So you knew..... everything.....”

“ahhh it looks like you knew as well.”

Yubiri sat up. “Which year were you born? Where are you from? How did you get to know about this place?”

“Whoa, one question at a time, please. My little brain might get overwhelmed,” Aiden said with a playful smile. “I can’t answer you first question but as for your second. We were born in Washington DC. You?”

“Germany...” Yubiri swiftly wiped off the tea residue from his lap and placed a white cloth there. “How did you get here?..”

“By untimely death,”

Yubiri paused. “D-did you really die in that world or... are you in an unconscious state like coma?.”

“No, I’m sure we passed away. Freak accident.” Aiden looked down into his lap.

In fact, their accident was a mystery no one knew how and why the new break wires snapped. They both died so tragically. It had happened two times, yet he could not stop it.

The first time they the accident caught unprepared, and entered this world.

The second time they were sent back to the original world after being killed by this mage. They were already on a collision course. It was too late. Their car collided with a container and smashed into pieces.

Ethan closed his eyes unmoving.....but he.... he still lingered.... for a long while, watching the paramedics try to bring him back. He lost the fight for life.

It all went dark.

Yubiri froze. “Is there any chance that you might be alive there?..”

Aide glanced up. “N-no.” his hands started to tremble slightly. “A mysterious force sent us here. We could not even say our goodbyes to our loved ones.” To hide his trembles, he placed the cup down and tightly wound his fingers together.

The silence in the room became stiffening.

After a long time, Yubiri whispered, “I don’t think we are dead.... I think we might just be comatose or in a life or death state..”

“You think so?” Aiden glanced up hopefully.

“I have been researching the phenomenon for a long time now.”

Yubiri explained the miraculous story of a traveler who fell into the world by accident, just like them.

“There was once a man who travelled to this world the similar way we did, but he found a way to return to his body, which was buried underground.”

“He said in his notes that he dug his way up through the grave, but even so, he could not fit in with that world anymore. He returned here and died a peaceful death.”

Aiden sat up straight, listening to this story keenly. “why.... why did he come back? This world is the worst place to live.”

“How so?”

“Because this world is unfair. The ‘gods’ who created this world, only care about a certain someone. She will get all the glory and a happy endings while anyone in her way will be sent to dust,”

Aiden clenched his fists tight. They had already crossed path with this girl. Being in her way only spelled doom, but this girl crossed their path on her own will, trying to find fault with Feng. If there was no way to avoid, then he planned to fight her with all he got again.

‘This life we need to be strong and have powerful allies as well.’ he glanced at the young mage. ‘He will be of good use later. IF he is on our side. Let’s wait only time can tell if he is REALLY on our side.’
