“Yeah, teacher...” Saleen felt rather embarrassed. The way Jason put it made it sound like he was some kind of upstart. Jason relied on his own power and took down a level 11 Vermillion Knight cleanly without using any equipment. Saleen, on the other hand, relied on the powerful Thunder Dragon Blaster.

The power of the Thunder Dragon Blaster had already been tested in the astrology tower. Level 13 defense was practically useless against the equipment, and the Vermillion Knights were only level 11 beings.

Elemental creatures were not humans and did not possess any powerful equipment. They relied solely on their own elemental powers to fight.

“To mages, their own equipment constitutes a part of their own power, Saleen. There’s no need to feel bad about this. Among the gear you own, I like the Thunder Dragon Blaster the most, despite it being inferior to the Magical Element Tower. I’ve looked into Hogina’s Gun as well, and while you might have borrowed ideas from her, you’ve created something else entirely different altogether. That was your own power.”

“Right,” Saleen answered and felt a lot better about himself.

The fire type element spirit barged around in the tower for the second time and found itself incapable of breaking the walls of the tower. It began to look into other means of escape.

Every single floor of the Magical Element Tower was equipped with teleportation portals. In Saleen’s case, he was able to reach anywhere within without having to activate the portals. The entire Magical Element Tower had became the most important arsenal in Saleen’s possession.

The passage from the second floor leading to the third floor was not destroyed. However, breaking it required intense brute force. There was no way it could use that teleportation portal without Saleen’s permission.

The fire type element spirit shrunk itself from a height of over three meters to a figure of less than half a foot tall. The armor and equipment that it had on its person were also shrunk.

The equipment was controlled by its elemental powers. The way humans saw it, the fire type element spirit was a weapon spirit for the equipment.

Controlling the equipment in such a way that it ended up even controlling itself, was probably something that can only be done by a natural born being like the fire type element spirit.

It was capable of such a feat due to having no guidance from anyone and had only played around with its powers guided solely inherent ancient memories.

Even humans would be reluctant of doing such a thing. Gods possessed divine personas and so long as said divine persona survived, no god would make themselves into weapon spirits.

The fire type element spirit was apparently a clueless newbie in terms of training. It looked for ways of manipulating any powerful equipment from the fragments of memories of the ancient past.

The ancient memories would only be whole if it was already level 15 when it was born. The memories would otherwise exist only in very fragmented pieces.

Without holistic ways of training, the fire type element spirit had turned itself into a weapon spirit to control the dragons and the fiery chariot. The warflags and even that nameless black whip were all places where it stored its soul.

While doing so would enhance the power of its weapons to the max, but the danger within was also very apparent. If the equipment were taken by others and crafted, it would lose its freedom and be made a slave.

It was something that was simple reasoning and common knowledge among human mages, but the fire type element spirit knew nothing of that.

The fire type element spirit wielded the long black whip like a spear when breaking from the second floor to reach the third floor. It pierced the crevice between spaces and made it up violently.

Jason had been waiting for that to happen. When the fire type element spirit reached the third floor, the teleportation magic pattern was completely destroyed. If it wanted to leave, it would need to wait until Saleen and others crafted magic patterns for the tower.

A huge net fell onto it. The fire type element spirit shot a white fiery breath, intending to melt the net. However, not even Saleen’s Water Flame was capable of dismantling the net. There was no way a level 13 fire type element spirit would be able to destroy it.

The net quickly trapped the fire type element spirit and contracted. It was surprised and quickly expanded its body. However, it remained incapable of breaking the net even after expanding to over 30 meters tall.

Jason laughed and sealed the third floor off, wiping all the magic patterns clean. Under the workings of the mechanical core of the Sky City, the third floor of the Magical Element Tower became a truly sealed off space.

In doing so, the second and fourth floor of the tower ceased to run. However, Saleen was indifferent. The fire type element spirit was thoroughly trapped. They would open the third floor when he and his teacher found ways to get around the problem.

The fire type element spirit howled. It was unable to fathom how was it possible for it to be captured when the enemy was not even all that powerful.

“I’ll subjugate it when I have time, some time near advancement to level 11.” Jason said and left the Magical Element Tower with Saleen.

The Magical Element Tower was at the mouth of the volcano, but the volcano was unlike any normal volcanoes. Its inner walls were laid with fire elemental crystals. The crystals were not something from Myers Mainland, but something excavated from other planes, put there specifically for nurturing a fire type element spirit.

The fire type element spirit had been very slow at absorbing the crystals, which was why it had taken so many underlings to search for magic nuclei and fire element from the ley lines. If it had been born at level 15, it would be able to simply eat the crystals to sustain itself.

“Saleen, we’ll take everything here.”

The space beneath the magic tower was not small. The fire type element spirit had placed every single material and equipment that its underlings gathered there, admiring them every day.

Saleen was indifferent to most of the equipment there, as they were severely damaged and devoid of possibility for growth, but he could dismantle them using Water Flame and craft them into something else, and they made decent materials for the purpose.

The fire element crystals were also the best energy source to power the magic power furnace. The amount of fire element crystals at the mouth of the volcano was frighteningly high. Otherwise, it would not be able to nurture a level 13 being.

Nailisi followed them but Jason shot her down, telling her instead, “Nailisi, go to the first floor and subjugate the six flaming giant dragons. I’m afraid the fire type element spirit would borrow their powers to escape.”

“Yes, sir.” Nailisi followed his orders, turning around and returning to the tower. While she was very interested in the fire element crystals, she dared not disobey Jason’s orders.

She was finally able to see how truly frighteningly powerful Jason was. Jason had been able to ignore level difference. He did not even need to use equipment to hunt and kill level 11 beings.

Saleen and Jason used Water Flame at the same time, cutting fire element crystals off of the walls of the volcano. While master and apprentice had different personalities, they had the same attitude when it came to treating precious magic materials. Nothing was to be left behind.

The fire element crystals’ hardness surpassed high level magic nucleus. If it hadn’t been for both of possessing Water Flames, it would have been impossible to cut every single piece of the crystals out.

Jason finally stopped after two days. There was no other materials deemed worth picking up.

“I’ll craft equipment. If I’m unable to finish it within a week, we’ll just leave.”

Nailisi was inside the purgatory of elements at the moment, helping the Eye of the Storm and the great fire snake devour the six flaming giant dragons. The dragons’ power surpassed the great fire snake, but the potential for growth of the double-headed snake was unpredictable. Nailisi treated the two beings nicely and them eat the six dragons.

The Eye of the Storm no longer rampaged. The purgatory of elements was just too perfect for beings like them. They had no worries of being taken away by people and made into equipment, and it was an environment where they were able to fight best as well.

Nailisi did not have to do anything to coerce the two beings into following every single word she said.

Jason chose the 17th floor of the tower for crafting his magic amplifier while Saleen watched from the side. It was between the two of them that such significant alchemical process was allowed to be showcased.

Jason cast his Water Flame Territory and used Water Flame within. Saleen found his teacher’s Water Flame different from his. His teacher’s had complex attributes.

It was probably a product of melding Water Flame and Blazing Flame. Saleen knew that he was unable to pick that up, but he was able to learn his teacher’s alchemical techniques.

Jason took out Withering Dance—the bracelet left behind by the Goddess of Myers—to use as the core of the magic amplifier, putting a piece of dimensional stone within. The dimension stone melted in the Water Flame and was infused within the bracelet.

Jason only took out some materials that he had been preparing for a long time, as well as the materials that Saleen had added for him, throwing all of them into the Water Flame.

Saleen saw that his teacher was completely using mental powers to guide the process. Every single material within the Water Flame came into being naturally and assembled at the Withering Dance.

A three-headed and six-armed devil structure appeared before Saleen gradually, the Withering Dance serving as the core. The crafting of the elemental envoy was less than ten percent done, and the materials were less than one percent depleted.

Time passed and Saleen looked on with focused eyes. Analysis using his Elemental Eye saw that black flames were concealed in his teacher’s Water Flame. Every single material was refined in a two-fold process.

His teacher did not craft any magic patterns. When the parts crafted from the materials came together, the expected magic patterns naturally appeared.

The elemental envoy’s image was over three meters tall, and it did not look as ferocious and imposing as the devil. The Withering Dance spun in the core of the elemental envoy. A specter gradually came into being in the Withering Dance.

Saleen gasped in surprise. He had no idea when Jason had crafted a weapon spirit!

Everything took place right before his eyes but he saw none of it taking place.

Jason was having an easy time crafting and had only replenished his mental powers using a piece of divine crystal. He did not do so because his mental powers were near depletion, but as a measure of prevention.

The elemental envoy no longer looked transparent after six days of crafting. Its muscle hardly looked any different from a human. Of its three heads, one was crafted in the image of a human male and another as a human female.

The remaining head was a devil’s, long horns stretching up.
